New stamps

I finally got a chance to try out one of the stamps I got at the show the other is from Crafty Individuals (poppy in a frame) These projects are for Mothers Day. The first card is stamped with Versafine and clear embossed then layered up to make the large poppy. It has been painted with Mica H20 paints, nice and sparkly, did the same with the framed poppy and mounted that on black card. I have clear embossed the large poppy to make a watermark on the card base. (its not complete yet)

The Mini Book Card is with a sheet of Zandra Decoupage cut out and mounted on card to make the covers and I have used Tim Holtz Distress Stickle, a few flowers etc and put some packets of seeds in to make a little gift.

Farnborough Craft Show at "FIVE"

What a good day and a great venue light, bright and loads of room. I have not been to this show before but it was a good one. There were lots of stands but not so many as usual according to the organisers. Credit Cruchitis!!!
Although we didn't take any there were lots of classes and demo's and they had organised rooms for them so unlike Stitch and Craft Show at Shepton Mallet you would have been able to hear the tutor!!

There were not so many special offers as would have hoped for at a show but even with some careful shopping I still managed to spend a small fortune :-(
I got a lot of Tim Holtz items of course including some of the circle acrylic elements which I haven't been able to get elsewhere. An Australian lady I was talking to told me about the new Tim Holtz Grungepaper, ohh that sounds great, the same properties as board but thinner and it will cut on the Cricut, cant wait to get that one :-)

I found a lot of stamps and items for my latest passion Altered Art so I have a bit to keep me going for the next few weeks. Here is what I bought, I especially love the little Maya Road Townhouse it is so cute :-)

Look out for Stamps Away, a huge range of good price clear stamps Wholesale Site you can look here and fnd a shop selling them

Clear-2-collage from Butterfly Kisses, these are lovely clear stamps and well priced the new webshop is due to open so keep watching for that. They also make back and front stamps in tasteful designs, no builders bottoms here!! :-( thank goodness

Altered Art "The Secret Garden"

I am a huge fan of Tim Holtz as you know and I wanted to try a project along the lines he produces and also some of the ideas I have seen in Craft Stamper. I have been buying some stamps suited to this so here I go.

I really like the Paper Artsy Stamps with the Arched images so I based this piece on those shapes. I have also used a lot of other stamps, grungeboard shapes for the hinges, glossy images which have been distressed and lots of brads!!

Sorry for the picture quality its not as good as it could be.

No time

I never seem to stop yet I am achieving little at the moment. I have made a few ATC's but not much else think I have post Christmas craft burn-out. I have also acquired a dog :-( she is a love but very demanding. I have tried an idea for a Valentines card but it didn't work out as I wanted, my creativity seems at an all time low right now. Sorry for these negative vibes. Please don't desert me I will bounce back so keep visiting.

Here is the disastrous card, not helped by my spare camera's awful picture quality. It has an acetate heart on the front, the inside (thanks to LizzieM for the fold technique) has acetate hearts that fall out when its opened. Cut most of the shapes on my Cricut. Papers and acetate from new spring Papermania range.
